Instrument Rental Information

INSTRUMENT VENDORS

  • We recommend renting an instrument from Music and Arts.
  • Please DO NOT order an instrument from Amazon.com or another vendor without asking me first. Instruments from Amazon.com frequently break and are of low-quality.

TRIAL PERIODS

  • Music and Arts offers a 4.5-month trial period and a 10-month trial period.During the trial periods, you will pay a low one-time fee for the instrument for the entire trial period.
  • The trial period is the minimum length of the rental agreement. This period is non-refundable, even if you return the instrument early.
  • After the trial period is over, you will pay a monthly fee and will be obligated to pay only one month at a time.

REQUIRED SUPPLIES

  • Please click HERE for the supplies required for your child's instrument. You can also purchase these supplies from Music and Arts.

INSTRUMENT REPAIR

  • I strongly recommend purchasing the Liability and Damage Waiver (LDW) from Music and ARTS. Instrument repairs occur frequently and are very expensive, and almost all repairs will be of no additional cost with the LDW.
  • If your child's instrument needs to be repaired, your child can give me their instrument to give to our representatives, or you can bring the instrument to the store yourself to get it repaired. Music and Arts usually provides a free loaner instrument for your child to use while it is being repaired.

INSTRUMENT DELIVERY

  • Music and Arts delivers instruments to the school and to your home and also has an in-store pickup option.

RENTING TO BUY

  • Your rental payments can go toward purchasing your child's instrument, but you will have to restart if you return your child's instrument over the summer.
  • Please contact Music and Arts directly for more information about renting to buy.

INFORMATION FOR PERCUSSION STUDENTS

I prefer that percussion students rent a snare drum kit from Music and Arts, but it is acceptable if they only have a practice pad and drumsticks. You can find more information about which snare drum, practice pad, and sticks to rent or purchase by clicking HERE.
