Jazz Band, Holiday Brass, and Winter Winds

JAZZ BAND INFORMATION

The UMAMS Jazz Band is an auditioned ensemble that meets weekly after school from late fall to June. The ensemble performs around the Upper Merion community and for school district events. Wind players must be enrolled in the band program to audition, however Guitar, Drum Set, Piano, and Bass players do not. 6th-8th Grade students are welcome to audition.

If your student is participating in other clubs or sports and may have to come late or miss rehearsals, please have them let me know how they will be splitting their time between the groups. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE and SUPPORT students involvement in whatever they'd like to do during their middle school years. 

WINTER WINDS and HOLIDAY BRASS

Winter Winds and Holiday Brass are woodwind and brass choirs that meet after school from end of October through December to perform holiday music. Students perform at district and community events. Both groups are not auditioned and open to 6th-8th Graders.
